Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR)

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) is a client-centered approach to guiding clients in addressing and releasing unwanted emotional or behavioural after-effects of traumatic incidents – grief and loss (loved ones, financial status, etc.), accidents, injuries, domestic and other forms of violence, and any painful life experience. TIR rapidly reduces post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

TIR is simply a method designed to enable people to examine such traumas in a systematic and complete way.

Adela is a certified TIR Facilitator (TIRF) and is presently enrolled in the Advanced TIR internship program. She works with people who have undergone mild to severe trauma, such as child abuse, sexual abuse, accidents, natural disasters, war, and violent crime.  The results have been encouraging. Clients have reported feeling more organized, grounded, lighter, as well as experiencing more joy in their lives.
